What Not To Do

A friend of mine pointed me to this site today; called “The Daily WTF“. It has all kinds of examples of what not to do.

A comment I particularly liked from the site was:

Given the problem of converting milliseconds to minutes, I imagine that most of us would simply divide the number of milliseconds by 60,000. That’s because most of us are not experts in the art of complexification.

I think most of us manage to discover the art of complexification all by ourselves. It’s nice to see others making mistakes like that; it distracts us from looking at our own code closely enough to spot similar problems.

Thanks to Stephen for this URL; it’s gone in the Links sidebar.
